چکیده

Purpose The purpose of this study is to use the Freeform Reversible Embedding Suspended Hydrogels (FRESH) additive manufacturing (AM) technique for a liver phantom which can mimic corresponding soft living tissue. One possible applications surgical planning. Design/methodology/approach A thermo-reversible Pluronic® F-127-based support bath used FRESH technique. To verify how three-dimensional (3D)-printed new materials tissue, dynamic mechanical analysis and oscillation shear rheometry tests are carried out identify characteristics different 3D printed silicone samples. Additionally, differential scanning calorimetry was done on Then, validation performed with scanner. Finally, surface topography fulfiled microscopy its surface. Findings Silicone samples were able liver, therefore obtaining first using Practical implications Because silicones, surgeons could practice over these improved phantoms have an unprecedented degree tissue mimicking, enhancing their rehearsal experience before surgery. Social An improvement in surgery skills would lead bettering patient outcome. Originality/value research apply it printing organ AM

Hybrid 3D Printing of Soft Electronics.

Hybrid 3D printing is a new method for producing soft electronics that combines direct ink writing of conductive and dielectric elastomeric materials with automated pick-and-place of surface mount electronic components within an integrated additive manufacturing platform. Using this approach, insulating matrix and conductive electrode inks are directly printed in specific layouts. Passive and a...

Soft Somatosensitive Actuators via Embedded 3D Printing.

Humans possess manual dexterity, motor skills, and other physical abilities that rely on feedback provided by the somatosensory system. Herein, a method is reported for creating soft somatosensitive actuators (SSAs) via embedded 3D printing, which are innervated with multiple conductive features that simultaneously enable haptic, proprioceptive, and thermoceptive sensing. This novel manufacturi...

Techniques for soft tissue management around the implants: a review

Dental implants, as a result of their excellent success rates and advantages over fixed or removable methods, have become the optimal treatment for replacing missing teeth. Surgical and restorative techniques that can reduce the loss of hard and soft tissues that often accompany implant placement are desirable. Achieving an esthetic outcome in tooth replacement and implant treatment requires a...

Soft tissue sarcoma mimicking eosinophilic leukemia.

Blood eosinophilia is diagnosed by an absolute eosinophil count that exceeds 0.5 × 109/L.1 Hypereosinophilia is classified as either primary, due to clonal expansion of eosinophils through acquisition of a somatic mutation (eg, FIP1L1-PDGFRA),1 or secondary, as seen in response to exogenous type 2 cytokines (eg, IL-3, IL-5, and GMCSF) secreted by various cells (eg, T-lymphocytes).2-4 Secondary ...
